As most PC gamers know, the most exciting time of the year is when Steam has their NextFest celebration. I think they have it at different times of the year or different themes where they encourage users to try the Demos from indie developers, especially. That's the best part. Trying things you wouldn't have otherwise tried.
Of course, my favorite part are the horror games. Horror and detective games, obviously. If the two are put together...even better.
Now, there were some standouts...
Last Draft - a typing horror game. Not enough of these, unfortunately, and this was a very cool one.
Loftia - Fantastic multiplayer. I can see this becoming very popular. Very cute character design as well and plays great on the Steam Deck. A little too people-y for my tastes, but I see this being very popular.
Beastfolk Barber - I absolutely adored this game. It's a little hair thing and a little story. A little bit of everything I enjoyed. Can't wait to play the full experience.
Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg, but when Demos are an option, you better believe I'm going to try them out.
